Mission

To help each other explore the world of computer science and engineering. To create and share knowledge with each other and the larger ACM community. To make Norwich University a better place to study computers and related technology.

Who are we?

ACM is an international organization of computing professionals and students worldwide. The Norwich University chapter of ACM includes students, faculty and staff from both the computer and information systems and the computer engineering departments. Our members have many interests including operating systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer security and web development. Student teaching and learning is our most important goal. To that end, we regularly hold student run workshops.

We meet once a week to discuss the topics that interest us. We try to keep it open to everyone. You don't have to be a computer whiz to be part of ACM, you just have to be willing to share ideas, constructively criticize and let others do the same. Of course, ACM is also about having fun. To that end, we plan field trips, host LAN parties and take part in national competitions.

What do we do?

Students prepare workshops based off of ideas thought up at the beginning of the semester. In the past this has included a Photoshop Introduction, PHP/MySQL Introduction, and many more.

We meet once a week: Wednesdays at 6:00pm in the EE Study. to discuss upcoming events, and review recent events.
